Call for Volunteers for the Global Evidence Summit 2024

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee and our organising partners - Cochrane, JBI, The Guidelines International Network (GIN), and The Campbell Collaboration, we invite you to join us at the Global Evidence Summit 2024 (GES 2024), taking place from 10th - 13thSeptember 2024, at the O2 universum in Prague.

Become a Part of GES 2024 by Volunteering!

We are looking for enthusiastic and active volunteers to join our organisational team. If you want to gain valuable experience, participate in a unique international event, meet new people, and enhance your resume, do not hesitate to join us.

General Requirements and Expectations

  • Volunteers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
  • Volunteers are expected to be available for at least two days during the summit.

 

Volunteer Roles

1. As a Conference Crew member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming delegates and speakers upon arrival.
  • Assisting with orientation and helping attendees find the appropriate registration area.
  • Creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all delegates and speakers.
  • Answering questions and providing assistance to anyone in need.
  • Efficiently solving any problems that arise.
  • Having a comprehensive understanding of the event as a whole.
  • Being on call throughout the event to offer support as needed.

2. As a Registration Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Distributing name tags to attendees.
  • Answering any registration-related queries.
  • Helping direct individuals to the correct location.
  • Assisting the registration hosts with various tasks.

3. As a Room Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the room before each session.
  • Creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for each session.
  • Welcoming each speaker and assisting with any tasks before and during the session.
  • Ensuring smooth transitions between speakers.
  • Communicating with individual speakers.
  • Helping with orientation at the venue and accompanying speakers to various locations.
  • Handling microphones during discussions.
  • Being an enthusiastic and friendly face for each speaker to talk to.
  • Answering any queries the speakers may have.
