Who can attend?

Can my spouse or partner attend?
Each person attending the Global Evidence Summit must pay a registration fee, including delegates and their spouses or partners. Currently, the Welcome Reception and Social Evening are included in the registration fee but are limited to registered delegates only. However, this may change, and we will inform you of any updates. There are also specific tours and activities that accompanying persons can participate in during the Summit. For more details on these tours and other activities, please visit the Social Programme.
Can I book multiple tickets for Social Events?
Yes, delegates can attend the Welcome Reception and Social Evening for free on the day of their registration. Additionally, delegates now have the option to bring an accompanying person to these events. To include an accompanying person, please send an email to registration@globalevidencesummit.org. More details are available on the event pages for the Welcome Reception and Social Evening. For additional activities, such as the boat cruise, please visit the Boat Cruise page. For overall information on all social activities, please visit the Social Programme.
Are there any age restrictions for attendees?
There are no specific age restrictions, but attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration

I only plan on attending one day of the Summit. Can I pay for one day only?
Yes. Options for day registration will be available via the online registration form. More information on One day registration can be found on the Registration fees page.
Several of my colleagues and I are registering for the Summit. Is there a special group rate?
Special group rates are only available for Local Czech Institutions.
What is the cancellation policy for registration?
Please refer to the registration policy for detailed information on cancellations and refunds.

Documentation and Travel

Do I need special documentation to enter the Czech Republic and attend this conference?
Entry requirements vary depending on your country of citizenship. Please see the visa information page for further information.
Can I receive a discount on my travel fare?
Unfortunately, discounts on travel fares are not available.
What transportation options are available from the airport to the conference venue?
Various transportation options are available, including taxis, public transport, and shuttle services. Detailed information can be found on the Venue page.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance for the Summit?
Yes, delegates will automatically receive a certificate of attendance at least one month after the event.

Accommodation and Getting Around

Do I need to book my own hotel room?
Yes. All Summit attendees must arrange their own accommodation. Information about hotels and how to book accommodation can be found on the hotels page.
Are there attractions I can visit outside of the Summit venue?
Yes, in addition to the rich Social Programme during the summit, the organisers have also prepared a section with interesting facts about Prague: What to do in Prague, and suggestions for one-day trips outside Prague: One day trips out of Prague. What dining options are available at or near the conference venue?
There are various dining options available at the conference venue and nearby. A wide range of restaurant options is prepared for you here.
Is there parking available at the conference venue?
Yes, there is parking available at the conference venue. Please refer to the Venue page for more details.

Full Programme and Conference App

Is the full programme currently available?
Yes, the full programme is now accessible to all. Registered delegates initially received access through the Expression of Interest (EoI) period, but it is now available to everyone on the Full Schedule page.
Does the full programme include abstracts?
Yes, the full programme includes all abstracts from oral presentations, workshops, and special sessions that were submitted during the submission process.
What if I don't see myself listed as an author?
If you are missing from an oral presentation, please contact abstracts@globaelvidencesummit.org. For workshops or special sessions, please contact the presenting facilitator or the contact person for the respective session.
What does the full programme include?
The full programme includes Plenary Sessions, Evidence Challenge sessions, oral presentations within concurrent sessions with their Chair persons, workshops, special sessions, and Flash Oral Presentations. More about the full programme can be found here.
How can I create My agenda?
The Expression of Interest (EoI) period is used to create your agenda. Registered delegates choose their favorite sections (sessions) and thus create their agenda for the Global Evidence Summit. Dates for EoI can be found here.
Can I select specific presentations as favorites?
During the open Expression of Interest, we collect information on the popularity of entire sessions (orals, workshops, special sessions) to better allocate them based on room size and popularity. However, you will be able to select specific presentations as favorites within the conference app.
When will the conference app be available?
The conference app, titled "GES 2024", is expected to be available for download approximately one week before the Global Evidence Summit begins.

Meetings and Satellite Events

I am interested in hosting a meeting. Do you plan satellite events?
As a Global Evidence Summit delegate, you can book a meeting throughout the main summit days from Tuesday, 10 September to Friday, 13 September on this link. If you are interested in hosting an event on the pre-conference day, Monday, 9 September, you can look at the activities listed here. This page will also inform you whether we have the capacity to host additional meetings.
