Programme

Welcome to the Full Schedule page for the highly anticipated 2nd Global Evidence Summit (GES 2024), themed "Using Evidence. Improving Lives." Here, you'll find a comprehensive overview of the programme summary, daily schedules, and full programme access, which will be available from Friday, 16th August 2024.

The GES 2024 programme aims to promote shared learning and collaboration across all partner organisations and Summit participants through integrated evidence-based practice ‘programme domains’ and cross-cutting disciplinary/sectoral themes. The Committees supporting the event have been working hard behind the scenes to deliver an engaging and impactful programme around the following themes:

• Sustainable development agenda
• The importance of research integrity making evidence accessible
• Power of synergy in evidence synthesis & synthesis products
• Evidence translation & implementation
• Advocating for greater evidence communication & use of evidence
• Global evidence to local impact

What to Expect at GES 2024

• Plenaries: Featuring inspiring speakers offering different perspectives on key themes through linked presentations and panel discussions.
• Evidence Challenge Sessions: Include a Debate and a Evidence Community Dialogue Session to foster critical thinking and in-depth discussion.
• Oral Sessions: Grouping multiple oral presentations by similar topics.
• Workshops: Interactive sessions for hands-on learning.
• Special Sessions: Highlighting innovative content and relevance to GES theme.
• Poster Sessions: Gain insights into the latest research through visual presentations, providing an opportunity for direct interaction with the researchers. Poster sessions are a great way to explore emerging evidence and engage in informal discussions.

Full Programme Access

The Full Programme will be accessible to all delegates starting Friday, 23rd August 2024 after the Expression of Deadline closes. Be sure to check back for the link that will allow you to explore the entire schedule and select the sessions that interest you most.

Expression of Interest (EoI)

Starting Friday, 16th August 2024, you can express your interest in specific sessions. This is your opportunity to start building a personalized agenda. The EoI period closes on 23rd August 2024 at 5 PM BST.

How to Express Your Interest:

• All registered delegates have received an email notification titled "Programme Open for Expression of Interest", which includes a link to the full programme.
• Browse through the entire programme or filter by session type or location.
• To add a session to your favourites, click on the star icon next to it. This helps us allocate appropriate rooms and ensure adequate capacity for popular sessions.
• Once onsite, download the event app, where your selected sessions will be listed under My Agenda.

Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee a spot in the sessions. However, it helps us ensure adequate space in the most popular sessions. Seats are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Venue

We are delighted to be hosting this event in the historic city of Prague, at the O2 universum, in the heart of this beautiful city from 10-13 September 2024. Please note that Monday 9 September is dedicated to pre-summit meetings. See the floor plans here.
