The Network is for all those who are interested in scoping reviews, from first time authors to experienced methodologists and researchers. The aim is to connect with each other and share.

GIN Annual General Meeting

The goal of this workshop will be to determine the importance and build consensus on living terminology, thresholds, and best-practice guidance for LES: • Is the term ‘living’ needed in reference to evidence synthesis? o If it is, what is a common understanding? o If it is not needed, what is the alternative to ‘living’? This workshop is part of research undertaken as part of a doctoral degree. By participating in this workshop, participants consent to allow information gathered during this workshop to be used in a research study.

Cochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods Editorial Board meeting

The Bias Methods Group Open Meeting is an opportunity for current and potential members to hear about activities of the group. We will provide a brief update on the group activities and discuss recent research.

To discuss the regional needs in Australia and New Zealand in guideline development.

The Campbell and Cochrane Health Equity Thematic Group aims to: (1) promote equity in the evidence base, (2) ensure equitable processes for stakeholder engagement, (3) produce high-priority, equity-focused evidence syntheses, (4) build capacity for equity design, analysis, and reporting, and (5) promote equity in implementation tools We invite GES delegates to join us to learn about the group, join project teams, and discuss opportunities to collaborate. 

The GINTech WG focuses on collaboration related to technology for developing and sharing guidelines.

Internal issues of the Ibero-American Cochrane Network will be discussed.

Members of the Guideline International Network North America Regional Community will meet and discuss activities from the past year and ideas for the future.

The Alliance for Living Evidence, known as Alive, is a cross-sector, cross-collaboration, international initiative developing and testing a new model for how evidence users and producers work together. It aims to enable the provision of accurate, timely, and relevant evidence for decision-makers in accessible and affordable ways. It is based on the principle of collaboration and grounded in living evidence methodology. All those currently part of this alliance, and those interested in getting involved are invited to this meeting.

Discussion among Cochrane Field members

This meeting welcomes all information specialists and evidence synthesis librarians in attendance, including but not limited to those affiliated with Cochrane, Campbell, JBI and GIN. This meeting will include short presentations and networking opportunities to build bridges across the information specialist communities from different organizations and disciplines. 

A meeting to address the challenges of producing evaluations that can lead to useful outputs for evidence synthesis. There is a well recognised need to improve the evidence ecosystem, so that primary research and evidence synthesis are better aligned. This is acutely apparent in the considerable investment UN agencies make in evaluations, but that evidence is rarely used in synthesis. The potential value in improving these links will be immense in terms of better supporting decision making with evidence based research.

In recent years, several initiatives have sought to make greater use of evaluative evidence in synthesis products. However, various barriers exist to enabling this. This informal meet-up will share challenges and exchange ideas on what is needed to better incorporate evaluative evidence (beyond impact evaluations) into evidence synthesis products.

Sharing Cochrane Italia geographic group plans by the new director

This talk focuses on the process of adapting and implementing evidence-based recommendations in a university hospital with limited resources but rich academic and research environments. The discussion will explore practical strategies for integrating scientific evidence into clinical practice, overcoming resource constraints, and leveraging academic and research strengths to enhance patient care and outcomes.

People interested in environmental evidence synthesis

This meeting is focused on discussing different aproaches to efficently implement CPG recommendations in clinical settings with limited resources, promoting capacity building in the staff and involved professionals

This meeting, hosted by the Cochrane Climate-Health Working Group, is open to anyone with an interest in environmental health issues, such as sustainability, climate change resilience, etc. We will discuss how the Cochrane and Campbell Collaborations are working to support effective decision-making to address the planet's environmental challenges.

Engaging newcomers to GCESC

The JBI Evidence Synthesis Taxonomy Initiative aims to develop a comprehensive evidence synthesis taxonomy to encourage and facilitate appropriate research synthesis to inform policy and practice. We are in the process of harmonising evidence synthesis types. This meeting will provide an update of ESTI, and activities.

Cochrane is expanding it's Editorial Board to include Senior and Associate Editors who will make decisions on submissions. There will be mentorship and training opportunities for Associate Editors. This meeting is intended for those Editors currently working with Cochrane and those who might be interested in applying to the Board.
