GIN Annual General Meeting

The goal of this workshop will be to determine the importance and build consensus on living terminology, thresholds, and best-practice guidance for LES: • Is the term ‘living’ needed in reference to evidence synthesis? o If it is, what is a common understanding? o If it is not needed, what is the alternative to ‘living’? This workshop is part of research undertaken as part of a doctoral degree. By participating in this workshop, participants consent to allow information gathered during this workshop to be used in a research study.

The Campbell member's meeting will be attended by Campbell members including CG representatives, board members, staff, and donors. The meeting is arranged to update the Campbell member's and to announce some Campbell awards.

The Bias Methods Group Open Meeting is an opportunity for current and potential members to hear about activities of the group. We will provide a brief update on the group activities and discuss recent research.

Cochrane, CRGs and Thematic Groups

This is an open meeting welcoming researchers of all experience levels and backgrounds interested in maternal, newborn and child health. This will be the first of many open sessions where we wish to convene the community to learn more about the expertise within the community and ideas about major priorities in this field going forward. We will also discuss our plans for the new Cochrane Thematic Group and hope to gain feedback regarding what our goals should be for 2024/2025. We also hope to gain input on how we can better engage with researchers and evidence users in low- and middle-income countries and ensure researchers from diverse backgrounds are included in the leadership contingency plans of our group. We look forward to discussing with you!

Meeting of HRB-CICER collaborative partners

A meeting to address the challenges of producing evaluations that can lead to useful outputs for evidence synthesis. There is a well recognised need to improve the evidence ecosystem, so that primary research and evidence synthesis are better aligned. This is acutely apparent in the considerable investment UN agencies make in evaluations, but that evidence is rarely used in synthesis. The potential value in improving these links will be immense in terms of better supporting decision making with evidence based research.

Health Systems Strengthening using PACK session, where we will delve into the critical role of the Practical Approach to Care Kit (PACK) in reinforcing health systems. This interactive session will gather healthcare professionals, public health experts, policymakers, and researchers to discuss how PACK can be leveraged to strengthen healthcare delivery. The focus will be on sharing insights, challenges, and best practices in implementing PACK to support health systems, particularly in resource-constrained settings. Participants will have the opportunity to explore collaborative strategies and practical solutions that enhance the capacity and resilience of health systems, ultimately improving health outcomes for communities.

Cochrane Africa aims to increase the use of healthcare evidence on the African continent. This meeting is an opportunity to get to know and network with others working in this area.

The Alliance for Living Evidence, known as Alive, is a cross-sector, cross-collaboration, international initiative developing and testing a new model for how evidence users and producers work together. It aims to enable the provision of accurate, timely, and relevant evidence for decision-makers in accessible and affordable ways. It is based on the principle of collaboration and grounded in living evidence methodology. All those currently part of this alliance, and those interested in getting involved are invited to this meeting.

Discussion among Cochrane Field members

The meeting aims to identify methods of collaboration and sharing experiences in developing evidence-based guidelines in the Arab world.

The meeting will focus on the latest advancements and best practices in intensive care and anesthesia as well as injuries treatment, fostering collaboration among professionals to enhance patient outcomes. We will explore cutting-edge and innovative ideas, and possible interdisciplinary approaches to critical care, injuries and anesthesia management.

Meeting is restricted from 12:45 - 13:15 and open to all afterwards.

This meeting welcomes all information specialists and evidence synthesis librarians in attendance, including but not limited to those affiliated with Cochrane, Campbell, JBI and GIN. This meeting will include short presentations and networking opportunities to build bridges across the information specialist communities from different organizations and disciplines. Please note that space is limited to 30 attendees.

To bring guideline developers together, to:

- Identify methods and promising initiatives for appraising and including a wider range of knowledge sources in guidelines.

- Share and compile experiences with these methods and their practical application.

- Identify areas / questions for which methods are wanting.

- Further develop methods for appraising and integrating different knowledge, including the use of AI-based methods for guideline development.

We aim to support capacity building and to foster collaboration among guideline developers worldwide in this area of methodological uncertainty.

The newly formed GIN Working Group on Artificial Intelligence will hold an introductory presentation and open discussion on exploring, evaluating, and developing methods and approaches for the integration and application of artificial intelligence across the entire guideline development cycle.

This meeting is focused on discussing different aproaches to efficently implement CPG recommendations in clinical settings with limited resources, promoting capacity building in the staff and involved professionals
