Visa information

The Czech Republic is a party to the Schengen Agreement. This means that citizens of the Schengen area may enter the Czech Republic for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. Click here to determine if you are exempt from visa requirements.

As a rule, unless you are exempt, you are required to have a visa. See the list of countries whose citizens require a visa here. You must apply from the Czech embassy or consulate in your country of residence. The application process can take six weeks or more. We strongly encourage you to apply for your visa as early as possible. Strict security may cause delays in visa processing.

Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
