Holger Schünemann

Holger Schünemann is Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of the Clinical Epidemiology and Research Center at Humanitas University in Milan, Italy, and Professor Emeritus of Clinical Epidemiology and Internal Medicine at McMaster University, Canada. He received his MD and Dr. med. from Hannover Medical School and trained in lung biology, epidemiology, internal medicine and preventive medicine/public health at SUNY Buffalo (M.Sc. & Ph.D.). He is currently chair of the Guidelines International Network and co-chair of the GRADE working group. He is an author of over 900 publications. Maintaining an active internal medicine practice fulfills his passion for patient care and ensures his guideline work is people-oriented.
